My name is Alisa Kintz. I was born in Hawaii but raised in the beautiful Sunshine State of Florida, in a town on the southeast coast called Stuart, famously known as the Sailfish Capital of the World.

Along with spending time with my family, I enjoy everything outdoors, and Florida certainly has a lot to offer! My hobbies include fishing, hunting, gardening, fossil collecting, boating, paddleboarding, snorkeling, and beachcombing, to name a few. I’ve also turned a hobby into a side hustle by processing skulls into European skull mounts.

My family has six dogs: five working dogs and one couch princess. As many of you may know, Florida has a serious invasive species problem, and our dogs are raised to hunt wild invasive pigs.

To me, being in the woods with family and friends is a special time like no other. No screens, no distractions, just quality time together. It is very important to me that my children know how to thrive in the woods and have skills that cannot be taught in a classroom.

Some of the conservation practices in our home include recycling, creating environmentally and wildlife-friendly yards, participating in beach, waterway, and WMA cleanups, and helping with the eradication of invasive species. It is essential to instill these values and knowledge in my children from a young age, in the hope that they will one day pass them on to their own children.
