Clarissa Richard, Texas

I am a mother of three and a proud grandmother of one, roles that have shaped my deepest understanding of legacy, patience, and unconditional love. Family is the foundation of everything I do, and my life is guided by faith and service. As an ordained evangelist, my purpose is rooted in sharing the love of God, teaching others about Christ, and living as an example of faith, strength, and compassion - especially for women and children seeking their place in the world and the outdoors.

Professionally, I am a Doctor of Occupational Therapy, dedicating my career to helping individuals overcome limitations and rediscover their independence. Healing, teaching, and restoring confidence are at the heart of my work, both in and out of the clinic. My faith illuminates everything I do, reminding me that true wellness comes not only from physical ability, but from knowing one’s worth, identity, and God-given purpose.

My passion for mentorship led me to serve as a Hunt Master for the State of Texas, where I mentor children ages 9 to 17. Through hunting and fishing education, I teach safety, ethics, respect for wildlife, and strong moral values. The outdoors is a classroom where faith, discipline, patience, and stewardship come together. I am committed to being a visible example for women and youth who desire to step into outdoor spaces with confidence, integrity, and purpose.

I am also a pattern inventor and a published children’s author. My book, Beautiful, was written to remind children that beauty is defined by God, not by the world. My goal was to describe beauty through God’s eyes before the world has the opportunity to redefine it for them. Creativity - whether through writing, inventing, or mentoring - is one of the many ways I share faith, encouragement, and truth.

I have been hunting for just under a decade, but my love for the outdoors was profoundly shaped by my mentor, Bub Jackson of Virginia - a true legend in the outdoor community. He taught me far more than how to hunt and fish; he taught me reverence for nature, humility, and the responsibility to teach others with passion and love. His influence continues to guide me as I lead, mentor, and serve - always for the love of God, and always with the goal of inspiring the next generation to walk boldly in faith, purpose, and the outdoors.
