Even though I have a “normal day job”, QA Lab Supervisor for a Dairy Farmers of America plant, my true passion is anything related to the outdoors!  Born and raised in New Jersey, I grew up tagging along with my father on various hunting trips from pheasant & quail hunting to sitting in a deer stand. My passion for crabbing, fishing, hunting and shed hunting has grown over the years as I have & will continue to share these activities with my partner in crime (my hubby).  I also co-own and operate Twisted Bone HD, a hydro dipping/euro mount business that combines my love of all things outdoors with creating a beautiful, finished product for hunters & huntresses.

The picture I submitted for the “Ladies in the Outdoors” Calendar contest was taken in November of 2024.  The buck pictured is “Tank”, one of my target bucks for that fall season whom I had been watching since late summer.  I am a big Alabama (Crimson Tide) fan & I harvested “Tank” on the day Alabama won the Iron Bowl, 11-30-2024.  Although “Tank” wasn’t my biggest buck or the most symmetrical rack, he had been on my radar since early summer/fall due to his huge body and level of maturity. That day he read the script and everything worked out perfectly for the most part.  The shot I made was spot on but due to his “will to survive” we tracked him over 350 -400 yards just within a few feet of the marsh. Thankfully he expired at that point otherwise we would have lost him in the marsh!

Looking forward into 2026, I can’t wait to shed hunt our farms in Ohio and especially in Kentucky where we are in the process of purchasing another dream property!  As always, curious to watch the growth in our bucks this year & learning more about their patterns.  We also are looking forward to getting in some turkey hunts this year and doing lots of trot lining in the bay for crabs.  Red Stag hunting in New Zealand continues to be at the top of the bucket list along with a trip to Alaska.

Huge shoutout to our sponsors for supporting women in the outdoors and encouraging our passions for the outdoors.  Thank you, Ladies in the Outdoors, Extreme Hunting 365 and all the calendar’s other amazing sponsors, along with Twisted Bone HD/Twisted Bone Outdoors friends and followers who helped make this dream come true for me.  Being Ms. April is an honor, a privilege and so special because it is also my birthday month!
